Unity or Ambiera's Coppercube

To make a choice, you need to know what you want and what they offer. That's why you're here, isn't it?
Choosing a game engine to use is by far not the easiest thing, although it depends on what you want or need, whether short term or long and I know for a fact that once you choose, changing it can be like switching from a Mac to Wndows vista or vice-versa.

Unity's Unity

Quoted directly from unity - Unity is a platform for creating beautiful and engaging 2D, 3D, VR and AR games and apps. A powerful graphics engine and full-features editor enable you to realize your creative vision fast and deliver your content to virtually any media orr device. You can eeasily connect to your audiences o PCs, consoles, the web, mobile devices, home entertainment systems, embedded systems or head-mounted displays.

More than an engine, Unity helps you achieve ongoing success. It offers everything you need to develop quality content, boost your productivity , and connect with your audience. Tools and resources include the unity Asset Store, Unity Ads,  Unity Everyplay, and Unity Certification. Unity Technologies serves millions of registered developers including large publishers, indie studios, students and hobbyists around the globe.

Ambiera's Coppercube

Quoted word for word from the Ambiera site - Copper cube is an all-in-one 3D game engine. Very easy to use. No programming needed. It really says it all. I don’t know why unity couldn’t do the same.

Pros

Unity
Coppercube
Regarded as the most popular game engine with the most versatile gaming effects and capabilities of making both high end and entry level games.
No programming skills required (Really, none required)
Supports 2D and 3D game development.
Supports native webGL apps (running inside website)
Majority of the features are available wiith the free license.
Great for beginners
High quality gaming results.
Very light engine (Opens and runs quite faster than other engines)
Supports most, if not all of the platforms available including web and gaming consoles.

Unrivalled effect editing tools.
Easy to use 3D editor
A whole community of plugin creators the provide free and cheap contents.
Easy to learn and use

Cons

Unity
Coppercube
The source code (of the engine) is not available to the developers.
Graphic capabilities of the engine aren’t as good as can be.

Compared to other engines. Collaboration of developer teams isn’t as easy. The server that offers the better collaboration platform is considered too expensive
Compared to other engines, it is somewhat limiting.

Conclusion

Although ambiera’s coppercube is significantly easier than unity’s unity because unity requires a whole load of scripting but that doesn’t matter when you have the best healthcare system. Unity provides the users with a community to help them learn everything about unity and they also offer free leasons alongside the free engine. Quite amazing if you ask me. I started off with coppercube but moved to unity because unity had all I wanted and needed. I’d give this one to Unity for simply being the better.

But for a beginner who knows nothing about programming, I suggest that he learns unity code and use unity but if you want the easier (not easy, game dev is never easy) way out, go for coppercube.
